Bangdeo, son of Jaitsingh Chauhan was blind. A Jain Acharya gave him vision so he became Jain and his gotra was named Bengani.

 

Bavaria is the subgotra of Bengani

 

Brahmani Mata of Bhuval village near Merta is the Kuldevi of these gotra.
