Babul Rather was the treasurer of Ratanpur state. One day a snake bit the king. On the request of Bhabhuji Acharya Jindutt Surri cured the king. Bhabhuji was much impressed by the wisdom of the Acharya so he adopted Jainism and became oswal. His gotra was named Bhabhu.
