King Digvat Hatundia Rathor was ruling Hasti-Kund in V.S. 973, which was near Godwad. Shri Jinvallabhacharya preached him, and he became his follower and thus became Oswal. His gotra was Hatundia Rathor.

In V.S. 1800, Ghemaji and Otaji were famous persons of this gotra. They arranged Sangs and build Manmohan Parshwanath temple in Bali. The family of Ghemaji is called Ghemawat and Otaji as Otawat.
