Kothari is not a main gotra.  It is found in many gotras.  Such as: - Kothari-Chopra, Kothari-Dugar, Kothari-Kataria, Kothari-Randhirot, Kothari-Dhariwal, Kothari-Babel, Kothari-Hakam, Kothari-Shah, K0thari-Khinchia, and so on.  If a person of any gotra worked on kothar under any king or thakur he and his family was known as kothari.
