Mahaldeo Rathi was the Minister of Ratanpur. His son Roopdeo was suffering from Paralysis. When the Acharya Shri Jindutt Suri arrived in the city, Mahaldeo went and urged the Acharya to give him a remedy. Acharya cured Roopdeo by mantra and medicine. Mahaldeo became oswal and adopted Jainism. His family was named Malu.
