Gunchandra was a resident of Barmer.  In VS 1216 Acharya Shri Aarakshit Suri enlighted him and he became oswal jain. His gotra was named VADER (Supreme)

Aalha Vader was a very famous person of his time. He opened a Danshala (Charity place) in famine for poor people for three years. Free corn was distributed here.
