Aagariya

There was a city Agrova in Sindh Province(Pakistan). Here 1500 families were residing. Bhati Gopalsingh was the ruler of the city. In V.1214 Shamsher Khan attacked and arrested Gopalsingh Bhati with 1500 Bhatis. At that time Acharya  Shri Mandhari Jinchandra Suri came there. Prime Minister Shri Gursamal Agarwal went to the Acharya and requested that if the king was released from the prison of Shamsher Khan, the king would feel obliged. Acharya asked Gurshamal to bcome Mahajan and be a follower of Jianism, then only he could do some thing for the release of the king. Gurshmal  accepted Jainism, and uttered some Mantras. Immediately the handcuffs and iron chains of all the 1500 Bhatis got opened. The army tried again-and-again to handcuff them but they got opened again. All the Bhatis were sursprised and the enemy army got frightened. Shamsher khan called the king amd sad, “Keep Hasi and Hissar and agree to my sub-ordination, and accept my feudalship.”

After the release, the king returned and came to know about this wonder that had taken place. He went to the Acharya, and agree to change hiscaste and becam Oswal Jain. Acharya named his new gotra Aagariya. The Kuldevi of these gotras is Shri Lodarmata of  Lodarva (Jinsalmer)
