Kanugo is not a Gotra. It is a title. It is found in many gotras.

Kanugo Manak ji Mool ji – Jalore

           

He was in the pedigree of Sankhlech Kochar Shah. He built a Jain Temple of Lord Mahaveera in V. 1665 in Jalore Fort. Emperor Akbar honoured him and awarded him with the title of ‘Kanugo’.

 

Kanugo Shri Ghevarchandji – Jodhpur

           

Originally he is a resident of Sivana. He was born in 1936, he had completed his prime education at Chennai and joined his parental business. He started an industry in Jodhpur in 1964 named alcobex Metals with capital of Rupees. 10 lacs, which is now of more than Rupees 100 crores. He export his products to more than 30 countries.

He has keen interest in the social works also. He was president of Oswal Singh Sabha Jodhpur and mademany reforms during his tenure. He built 6 school building for the education of general students at different places.
