It is said that Digamber Acharya Shri Jinsen enlightened Chohan King of Khandela with his family abd the countries. Their caste was named ‘Khadelwal’. Kuldevi of this gotra is shri Sachyaya mata.
It is also said that a Khandela family traded in wine in the 14th century. Acharya Shri enlightened them and converted them into Oswal. Their gotra was named ‘Khandelwal’.
It is also Said that In Jangal province (the place near ajmer called Jangal in the past), few Khandelwal persons were carrying on business of Gur and Suggar. Some of them started the business of wine. Acharya Jinprabh suri enlightened them and converted them into Oswals, but other Oswals did not keep any relation with them, because they were having the business of wine. Therefore, they were named Khandelwal Oswal Lagu Shakha. Its sub-gotras are Kothari, Gandhi, Johari etc. in accordance with the business they were having.
KHAJANCHI MUGDI BOHARA
The first person of these gotra was Khandhalji resident of Devikot of present Jaisalmer district.
Acharya Manidhari Jinchandra Suri enlightened him in V. 1216. He became Oswal and adopted Jainism non-violence. He started the business of money-lending so his caste became Bohara.
Shri Zahzahn ji Married the prince of Jaisalmer and settled in Bikaner. Maharaja Bikaner appointed him as the Treasurer of the State so they were called Khajanchi.
A few persons of this family settled at Sindh (Pakistan), and started there the business of Mugdi (Financer), so their gotra was named Mugdi.
KHAJANCHI (KANDHAL BOHARA)
Rajput Kandhal was resident of Devikot (Jaisalmer). He was enlightened and converted himself into Oswal. He was doing business of money lending so named Bohra. His family was named Kandhal Bohara.
Khajanchi is a sub gotra of Lagu-Shreshthi. Lagu Shresthi gotra is the last gotra of the first 18. Its sub-gotras are under :
Vardhman, Bhobhaliya, Lunecha, Bohra, Patva, Singhi, Chitoda, Khajanchi, Punot-Godhra, Hada, Kubadiya, Luna, Naleriya, Gorecha.
Khajanchi Seth Premchandji Johari-Bikaner.
He was State Johari of Bikaner State. He was President and member of many societies. Shri Sangh of Bikaner honoured him.
Khajanchi Seth Khushalchandji – Chandrapur
He arrived at Chanda at the age of 16 years in V. 1970. He was elected member of municipal Board. In 1827 he was elected member of District counsil. He became Municipal President in 1929 & 1931. He took part in the freedom war so he was sent to jail for 7 month on 08-08-1931. In 1932 he was again sent to jail for 4 months.
Khajanchi Shri Khushalchand Chanda
He was President of Chanda Municipal board for many years. He was the soul of educational institutions. He joined Mahatma Gandhi’s Non-cooperative movement. He was President of District Congress Committee. He was elected member of State Assembly of the Congress committee. He went to Jail for two times in the freedom war.
Gotra Khanted is asub-gotra of Aabeda.
Khanted Seth Sagarmalji Trivloor
He was born in V.1932. He was member of Local Board of Trivloor for 5 years. He was Juri of Chinganpeth Sessions Court. He renounced the old Jain Temple of Murdava. He donated in many types of religious and social deeds.
Khanted Seth Lakshamichandji & Punamchandji – Bali
These brothers managed a Sangh for Kesariaji in V.1952. In v. 1954 these brothers opened a shop for selling wheat at 3/4th price to the poor and needy persons. For this deed Jodhpur Maharaja Sardarsinghji honoured him with Siropav, Kada and Dushala.
Gotra Khar-Bhandari is a sub gotra of the Gotra Sancheti.
Gotra Khatol is a sub-gotra of the Gotra Aabeda.
KHINVASRA or KHAMESRA or KHIVASRA
Gotra Khimsra is a sub-gotra of Chinchat the 14th gotra of first 18 gotras. But Yati Ramlalji wrote a story of the origin of this as under :-
Balecha gotra Chauhan Khimji was the ruler of Marudhara. He renamed his city after his own name and called it Khinvsar.
One night Bhati Rajputs attacked their city and looted their cattle (cows and Camels etc.) When Khimji came to know about this, he at once ran after them with a small army, but defeated. On return Acharya Jineshwar Suri with his fellow monks. Khimji beseeched the Acharya to do domething to save their prestige and cattle from the decoits. He also promised to be non-violent in future. Acharya gave a Mantra to Khimji and directed him to attack the decoits. The decoits were defeated and they returned the entire belongings of the Khimji’s people.
Khimji and other noble persons were over Joyed. But could not keep the promise. Then Acharya Shri Jindutt Suri arrived in Khinvsar after a few years. He went to the royal Palace and reminded them of the previous promise and converted them to Oswals and named their gotra Khinvasra. Kuldevi of this gotra is Shri Lekekshan Mata.
Khinvasra Dr. Bhanwarlal – Calcutta
He was born on 20-01-1923 at Sardarshahar. He was a freedom fighter. He came in contact with the national leaders Mahatama Gandhi, Vinoba Bhave, Jaiprakash Narayan, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhashchandra Bose, Rammanohar Lohia, Jainarayan Vyas etc. while the freedom struggle. He was arrested while taking oath of freedom at Shradhanand Park Calcutta and remain in Jail from 1942 to 1944s. According to the instructions of the national leaders he went under ground for one year in 1944 and travelled with Jainarayan Vyas in Barmer, and shiv districts to fight with Maleria. And given free treatment to all the victims. He also took part in ‘Bhudan Andolan’, ‘Harijan Seva’ etc.
Khivasra Shri Nagraj Mehta – Jodhpur
After finishing his education he joined Indian Railway services. He was retired from the post of Chief. He is attached with many social and religious societies. He is the treasurer of Oswal singh Sabha, Jodhpur. He is the President of Oswal Khivansra Bhaipa and Seva Bharti. He is the Vice President of Sahakar Bharti. He was the Treasurer of Shri Vardhman Jain Relief Society. He is taking an active part in Oswal foundation Day in Jodhpur for the last 3 years.
Khinvasra Mehta Sardarchandji – Jodhpur
He was Hakim of Jaitaran. He was a prominent person of Oswal Samaj of Jodhpur.
