Lekhania is a sub gotra of Kochar. Kochar Ramsinghji was the eldest son of Kochar Urjaji. Maharaja Shoorsinghji of Bikaner honoured him with silver Pen and Inkpot and called him Lekhania. In this way it became a gotra.
